Job Description: City Manager (Miami)

With an audience of millions of monthly users, we connect the global nightlife community through a blend of real-time event listings, ticketing, editorial deep-dives into club culture, and original film content. From underground warehouses to the world’s most iconic superclubs, Partybody is the definitive platform for finding the best parties and the artists, venues, and promoters behind them.

Purpose of the Role

The City Manager is an integral part of Partybody’s Global Content Network (GCN) and our vital link to Miami. You’ll support the city’s nightlife community by keeping our local content sharp and current, enriching listings across events, artists, and venues, and feeding in editorial ideas that help us tell the story of Miami’s legendary after-hours scene.

The result is simple: people in Miami can rely on Partybody to navigate the night. You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground, shaping how the local scene is represented—ensuring we surface the most authentic stories and the most essential dancefloors.

At a Glance

• Based in: Miami

• Contract and Term: Freelance consultant (independent contractor), 12 months, with the option to renew.

• Time Commitment: 20-hour monthly baseline, with additional scope available up to 40 hours per month total.

• Monthly Fee: $480 for the baseline (up to 20 hours/month). Extra commissioned scope is agreed upon separately.

Key Responsibilities

Core Tasks

• Keep Partybody Accurate in Miami: Ensure event listings, venue pages, and artist profiles accurately reflect the city’s pulse so users trust our data when they head out.

• Editorial Instincts: Pitch the parties, people, and local subcultures that matter. Contribute to formats like PB Picks, The Weekender, and our social channels.

• Stay Close to the Scene: Be a visible, trusted point of contact in Miami’s nightlife. Share context on how the scene is shifting—from new venue openings to emerging local talent.

• Spot Commercial Opportunities: Identify potential ticketing partnerships that align with Partybody’s standards and hand off introductions to the Revenue team.

Additional Scope

• Growth and Relationships: Help promoters and venues master Partybody’s digital tools and maintain a network of priority local relationships.

• Commercial Support: Support outreach and introductions where needed, ensuring a professional handover to our global teams.

• Embedded in the Night: You have a deep network within Miami’s nightlife—from promoters and DJs to venue owners and door staff.

• Outgoing Personality: You build networks quickly and are a fixture in the local scene.

• Digital Native: A track record of effective communication across both personal and digital channels.

• Culture Obsessed: A fundamental passion for nightlife culture, hospitality, and electronic music.

• Language: While our primary internal language is English, fluency in Spanish is required for the Miami market.
