Reforesters Laboratory

147 Metropolitan Avenue
New York, NY 10011 United States

LIFT is an event series at the Reforesters Laboratory exploring the ambient fringes of the hardcore continuum in 24.2-channel spatial audio. For this fourth edition we welcome Drew Litowitz, who performs as Marble Rye and organizes the experimental and ambient event series Good Grief.

Marble Rye is Drew Litowitz, who also releases music under the name A Place to Go and runs Good Grief, a curatorial platform and event series focused on communal emotional release through immersive experimental sound. His eclectic, frenetic, cinematic mixes move through moods of healing, pain, joy, love, and loss, curiously surveying the gaping spectrum of ambient and experimental music—from spiritual new age and outsider synth odysseys, to evocative spoken word and field recordings, to dark dub-inflected psychedelic electronic works and polyrhythmic sound design from all over the world.

Callosum is a Brooklyn-based DJ who blends his own euphoric productions with a diverse range of club music spanning jungle, dancehall, and experimental bass music. With releases on 48k and Nostro Hood System, his sets weave ambient textures and broken drums into high-energy soundscapes that have earned him spots on Rinse FM, NTS Radio, and The Lot Radio.
