Made to Move: Ariel Zetina, NAYGOD, Ava Blank

April 12 @ 8:00 pm - April 13 @ 3:00 am

The requests have been made. The wait is over. Made to Move invites you over to our first warehouse party!

On April 12th, Ariel Zetina will be flying in hot from Chicago, the home of House music, to bring her “fiery house and techno” sound that she is known for in the windy city and beyond. Local selectors NAYGOD and Ava Blank, two respected and trusted DJs in Los Angeles will turn out the underground movers and keep the energy high, mixing relentless grooves and deep cuts. Drag artists, Frankie Felony and Sam, will not only serve looks but have us go-go-going through the night. The Made to Move residents will bond the night together with b2b sets from residents Akumen, Andy Oro, agraybé and No Pressure.

Anticipate disco balls, daring lasers, dancing, and discovery.
Make your way to the warehouse and move with us!

Dive in deeper with the guest DJs:

Ariel Zetina is beyond impressive as she is a DJ, Producer, and Writer, a resident at the legendary Smartbar, a DJ Mag Breakout Artist of the Year nominee, and is known for the major impact she has had in the dance and queer communities of Chicago. Expect Ariel to “weave together 2000s electroclash, Chicago acid house, and hip-house” and integrate sounds from her Belizean and queer club-scene roots. We are in for a good one on April 12th. Activate your doll support and welcome Ariel to our home, Los Angeles.

NAYGOD is a transdisciplinary artist, DJ, producer, engineer, and scientist. Born and raised in Chicago, and currently based in L.A., Nay’s wide-ranging, eclectic sets are sonic expressions of their life, mixing house, techno, juke, club, r&b, disco, soul, classics, and edits you never really know what to expect when tuning into a NAYGOD mix or live set, but you can be assured that their blends will keep the dance floor active and have you wanting more and more. Accordingly, we are no strangers to Nay as they have graced Made to Move with their selections many a time and we can’t wait to see how they’ll move us this time around.

Ava Blank is a blooming DJ from Los Angeles who is a rave expert and has even been known to send us some “ravemail” through her own produced tracks. Ava integrates classic deep cuts, inspired by her roots and growing up around dance music, along with modernist tracks from the current underground scene. She set the General Lee’s floor off in Dec and we can’t wait to see what she does when we’re burning the midnight oil. Through organizing her own parties and support local organizations like dublab, Ava is a true treasure that we want more to discover.

About Made to Move:

Made to Move was established in 2018 and its goal is to provide a positive space where underground DJs can play dance music, primarily house music, that the community can move to. Made to Move has organized over 80 events, including a monthly party in Chinatown. Folks can expect to dance, experience new music, and make friends.
We believe that house music parties should reflect history. Through our DJ bookings and care for our events, we try to provide a place where everyone can feel welcome and move together.
