SUMMARY:Open Decks with STEEN and Diffüsion
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by DJ and musician Steen\, Open Decks is a creative and fun space where DJs can hang and share their house and techno music live. Hear your favorite or original tracks on Silo’s front room sound system\, a custom 15\,000 watt Danley powerhouse. \nIf you want to play\, talk to Steen to sign up. Sign-up is in person at the event only\, slots are 12 minutes. \nThe first 3 DJ’s play first-come-first-spin. Then we’ll select names randomly from the sign-up list throughout the night. You’ll get a half hour notice before your set time. This is to ensure that DJ’s who can’t make the initial sign up right at 8pm still get a chance to play. \nFree with advance RSVP. Question? Hit up your host on IG @steenschmidt \nThis week’s co-host is DIFFÜSION. Established in September 2025\, DIFFÜSION is a techno-centered collective bridging the collective futurism of techno with the color and depth of humanity’s cultural heritage. They showcase and empower artists pushing the boundaries of techno who incorporate rhythms and melodies from rich cultural contexts\, offering a space for exploration in the unfamiliar and deeper connection with one another.\nIn SILO’s front room. Limited capacity.
