Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Partybody (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use partybody.com and the Partybody mobile app (together, the “Services”). Partybody is a nightlife platform: you find events, join guest lists, buy tickets, check in at the door, and share photos from the party.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account — with an email address or through Google, Apple, or Spotify sign-in — we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if your sign-in provider shares one). Social sign-in providers do not share your passwords with us.

Location. With your permission, the app uses your device’s location to show events, venues, and photos near you. You can instead set a location manually. When you check in at a venue or event, we record that check-in (venue, event, and time). We do not track your location in the background.

Photos and videos. Photos and short clips you post to an event’s memory wall are public — they appear on the event, venue, and Memories pages of the Services, together with your display name. Video clips are hosted by Cloudflare Stream.

Guest lists, RSVPs, tickets, and check-ins. When you join a guest list, RSVP, or buy a ticket, we record it so venues and door staff can verify entry. Ticket payments are processed by our payment providers (for example PayPal); we do not store full card numbers.

Concierge messages. If you use the AI Night Concierge, your messages and approximate location are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate answers. Don’t include sensitive personal information in concierge chats.

Technical data. Like most services, we and our infrastructure providers (including Cloudflare) process IP addresses, device/browser information, and security logs to keep the Services running and safe. The Services use cookies for login sessions and preferences.

2. How We Use Information

Provide the Services: event discovery near you, guest lists, door passes, ticket purchases, photo walls, and the concierge.
Verify entry at the door (your name and list status are shown to event/venue staff when your pass is scanned).
Send service emails, such as your door pass, RSVP confirmations, and receipts.
Show activity signals such as how many people are going to or checked into an event.
Moderate content, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. When Information Is Shared

Publicly: photos you post, your display name on those photos, and your public profile.
With venues and event staff: your name and list/check-in status for events you join.
With service providers that operate parts of the Services: hosting, Cloudflare (security and video), Anthropic (concierge AI), OpenStreetMap/Nominatim (maps and geocoding in the app), payment processors, and email delivery.
Sign-in providers: if you use Google, Apple, or Spotify sign-in, your use of those services is governed by their privacy policies.
Legal: if required by law or to protect the Services and our users.

4. App Permissions

The app asks permission before using your location (find nearby events), camera (capture photos for event walls), and photo library (share existing photos and save event QR codes). You can change these anytime in your device settings; the app still works with reduced features.

5. Your Choices & Deleting Your Account

Edit your profile or remove photos you posted by contacting us or using the site’s tools.
Delete your account in the app (profile → Delete Account) or at partybody.com/request-deletion. Deleting your account removes your profile and the content you posted.
Set your location manually instead of using device location.

6. Data Retention & Security

We keep account data while your account is active and event/attendance records as long as they’re relevant to the Services. We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect data; no online service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Age

Partybody is for adults. The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and many listed events are 21+. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the Services evolve; the effective date above always reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.

AI Concierge (Third-Party AI Service)

Partybody includes an optional AI concierge (“Ask the Concierge”) that helps you find events. When you choose to use it, the following data is sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model, privacy policy) through our server:

The messages you type into the concierge chat, including your earlier messages in the same conversation;
Your approximate location (city-level, or the location you’ve chosen in the app) so recommendations are local to you.

We do not send your name, email address, account credentials, photos, contacts, or any other account data to Anthropic. Concierge conversations are used only to generate your recommendations; per Anthropic’s API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train their models. The concierge only activates after you review this disclosure in the app and give your consent — you can use every other Partybody feature without it.
